Inspector-General of Police(IGP) Can Display Police Professionalism By Admitting Mistakes And Apologising For The Public Misfeasance And Wrongful Police Killing Of 14 Year-Old Aminulrasyid Amzah.(e/c))

Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 27.3.2016.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar can display police professionalism by admitting to mistakes made and apologising for the public misfeasance and wrongful killing of 14 year-old schoolboy Aminulrasyid Amzah. His words that “There is not one instance when we have not been professional”, may yet return to haunt him in cases of police misconduct such as police custodial deaths or even police brutality highlighted by the beating up of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by the then IGP Tan Sri Rahim Nor. The Inspector-General of Police(IGP) Should Be Consistently Efficient By Applying The Same Standard Of Professional Diligence(e/c)

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 26.3.2016.

The Inspector-General of Police(IGP) Should Be Consistently Efficient By Applying The Same Standard Of Professional Diligence to Police Reports Against BN As They Apply Against Pakatan Harapan Leaders.

The unusually quick response of IGP Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar towards an UMNO Youth police report begs the question whether the IGP can be consistently efficient, by applying the same standards of professional diligence to police reports against BN as they apply against Pakatan Harapan leaders. The IGP had responded barely 48 hours after UMNO Youth lodged a report against Ms Phang Li Koon, who sold her house to me, allegedly for making a false statutory declaration (SD). Character Assassination Conspiracy Cannot Justify, Blot Out Or Distract Attention From RM42 Billion 1MDB Scandal, RM2.6 Billion Donation Scandal And RM100 Million Scam In The Youth & Sports Ministry.(e/m/c)

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 25.3.2016.

BN’s national conspiracy to character assassinate me over the purchase of my house through lies and half-truths, double-standards and even abuse of power, is a blatant attempt to justify, blot out or distract attention from the real financial scandals of BN such as the RM42 billion 1MDB scandal, the RM2.6 billion donation scandal and the latest RM100 million corruption scam in the Youth and Sports Ministry.

The BN scandals have caused losses of public funds and hurt the nation’s economy with the depreciation of the ringgit, whilst the purchase of my house has shown the highest levels of transparency and accountability with the practice of open tenders and even opening up my house for inspection by the media. And yet the BN’s print and broadcasting media continues its blanket coverage of my house, as if there are no other news or issues in the world. I am not surprised at PAS and UMNO joining hands together, demanding me to go on leave pending investigations by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (e/m/c)

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 23.3.2016.

I am not surprised at PAS and UMNO joining hands together, demanding me to go on leave pending investigations by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), on BN’s allegations against me of corruption relating to the purchase of my 30-year old house and the sale of government land in Taman Manggis. These demands are clearly politically motivated. Both BN and PAS did not make the same demands to the Prime Minister to go on leave, when the Prime Minister was discovered with USD 700 million or RM2.6 billion in donation in his personal bank account. However after I heard from CM’s wife that she was looking for a place to rent due to termites problem at her official residence, I decided to offer them my house to stay. Adakah Datuk Shabudin Yahaya Berani Ulangi Tuduhan Rasuah Ke atas Saya Di Luar Parlimen Dan Bukanlah Jenis Pemimpin Tidak Bertanggungjawab Yang Baling Batu Sembunyi Tangan?

Kenyataan Sidang Akhbar Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang Lim Guan Eng Di Komtar, George Town Pada 20.3.2016.

Kenyataan Akhbar Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang Lim Guan Eng Di Komtar, George Town Pada 19.3.2016.

Invites PERDA Chair And Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahaya To A One-on-One “Seek Truth From Facts” Meeting With Me Alone In My Komtar Office On 11 am 20 March Sunday In Front Of The Mass Media.(e/m/c))

Press Conference Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On18.3.2016.

First, I regret that some sections of the press are making up inaccurate stories published today, when I had not spoken to them. For this reason I am coming out with a written press statement to avoid any misinterpretation or wilful misrepresentation.

I read in the Malaysiakini yesterday that allegations of corruption were made against me in the Dewan Rakyat by PERDA Chair and Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shabudin Yahaya, where he linked the purchase of my house to the 2012 sale of government land in Taman Manggis to private developers building a private hospital and hotel. These allegations are false and baseless. Menteri Kesejahteraan Bandar, Perumahan Dan Kerajaan Tempatan Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan Bagai “Meludah Ke Langit, Terkena Muka Sendiri” Bila Mengakui Perdana Menteri Dan PR1MA Menetapkan Harga Jualan Maksima Untuk Rumah Mampu Milik Sebanyak RM400,000.(m/c)

Kenyataan Akhbar Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang Lim Guan Eng Di Komtar, George Town Pada 18.3.2016.

I wish to urge Dr Lim to work together with MBPP as an appointed councillor.

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 12.3.2016.

NGO Councillor Dr Lim Mah Hui Should Apologise To Both Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang(MBPP) Datuk Bandar Dato Patahiyah binti Ismail And MBPP Secretary Ang Aing Thye For His Lies That MBPP Staff”s Lackadaisical Work Attitude Has Resulted In Only Towing One Car Per Month!

NGO Councillor Dr Lim Mah Hui should apologise to both Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang(MBPP) Datuk Bandar Dato Patahiyah binti Ismail and MBPP Secretary Ang Aing Thye for his lies that MBPP staff”s lackadaisical work attitude has resulted in only towing one or two cars per month for blocking traffic. I am shocked at the exposure by both Dato Patahiyah and Ang of Dr Lim’s outrageous lies with the statistics and facts that MBPP had been towing an average of 500 cars a month, and not one or two cars as claimed by Dr Lim.
