If MCA and Gerakan fails to get the Cabinet at its weekly meeting tomorrow, to direct both UMNO and MIC to apologise for its rabid attacks on Robert Kuok and stop its fake news that Robert Kuok donated money to DAP to replace the BN government, then both should break off with UMNO and withdraw from BN. UMNO supported by MIC has been going on a rampage against Robert Kuok on a false allegation and fake news. When Malaysia recorded its lowest ever ranking on the 2017 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) of 47 points and No. 62, that it is now on par with Cuba, both Minister In The Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Paul Low and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission(MACC) had retaliated with denial and throwing a tantrum that MACC will devise their own index ranking system. Both should have accepted TI’s assessment of their worst performance ever in fighting corruption, with an open mind by being willing to be subject to scrutiny for this poor performance, and a full post-mortem of inquiry. Hokkien New Year Message By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 23.2.2018
For Malaysia to achieve TN50’s goal to be the top 20 economy in the world and Penang to be the next Silicon Valley of Asia, we must not lose to Brunei by being a clean welfare state, not a kleptocracy, and be No. 2 in 4G speed in Asean. First Malaysians were shocked when wireless coverage mapping specialist OpenSignal, released a report showing that Malaysia is amongst the slowest amongst 88 countries surveyed, in terms of the average speed of 4G. BN cannot deny anymore that GST causes price rises and not reduce prices as claimed by UMNO Deputy Minister Dato Ahmad Maslan. Up to now Datuk Ahmad has not explained or showed evidence to prove that GST caused prices to fall. In fact a report by Sinar Harian yesterday quoting Dr Ahmed Razman Abdul Latif, Senior Lecturer Putra Business School University Putra Malaysia (UPM) that over the last 7 years, prices have gone up from RM100 to at least RM130.
Singapore Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat had announced during his Budget 2018 speech on February 19th that GST will increase from the present 7% to 9% sometime in the period between 2021 and 2025. When GST was first implemented in Singapore, it was only at a rate of 3%. Continue reading “BN Cannot Deny Anymore That GST Causes Price Rises And Not Reduce Prices(e/m/c)”

Singapore Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat had announced during his Budget 2018 speech on February 19th that GST will increase from the present 7% to 9% sometime in the period between 2021 and 2025. When GST was first implemented in Singapore, it was only at a rate of 3%.
This confirms the world-wide trend about GST, that once GST is imposed, only goes up. The sole solution available to prevent GST from going up is to abolish it. This is what Pakatan Harapan is promising, to abolish GST within the first 100 days upon taking power, and restore the previous Sales & Services Tax(SST). The Star Is Nothing More Than Fake News!
MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong once again complains he was misquoted by his party-owned newspaper, The Star. This time he says that he never mentioned my name as his possible opponent in his Ayer Hitam parliamentary constituency. If even MCA leaders can claim to be misquoted by The Star, what more DAP leaders like myself who have to resort to court action for defamation to get the truth out? This is clear confirmation that The Star is nothing more than fake news.

2018 DAP Chinese New Year Message By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 16.2.2018.
As we welcome the Year of the Dog, we should remember that whilst we seek to build an institutional framework that can protect reforms, we must adopt a 4P Partnership of Public, Private, People and Professional(4P) sectors to compel leaders to be problem-solvers not problem makers. Then only can our people enjoy basic human rights and freedoms, democracy, rule of law, environmental protection, sustainable development, equal opportunity and equitable distribution of wealth.

MCA Minister Wee Ka Siong’s desperate attempts to justify his 10 lies with more lies on the 3 main roads and tunnel project will not work, because you can lie to some of the people some of the time, you can lie to all the people some of the time, but you can not lie to all the people all the time. Even whilst clinging desperately to his lies, Wee continues to make new ones, such as the winning consortium Zenith, securing a 110 acres prime land approved for high-density luxury condominiums despite the many delays in the proposed project.

There is no point in rebutting fake news or new false allegations by BN leaders, like Wee Ka Siong on the 3 highways and tunnel project, when Wee refuses to fully account and come clean for his previous 10 lies against the Penang state government, but is going all out to sabotage this project to alleviate traffic congestion. MCA and MCA Minister Wee Ka Siong are political serial liars that will skip unashamedly to the next lie when their “solid proof” goes “poof” to undermine and sabotage the under sea tunnel and 3 main road project intended to alleviate traffic congestion in Penang. We have seen how Wee and MCA leaders skip from lies after lies beginning with the lie that the contractor was paid for the under sea tunnel even though not a single cent or single square inch of land was paid.
Without showing solid proof to back his previous lie, Wee than skipped to the insinuation how can a fashion company Vertice, as an investor, have the capability to build the under sea tunnel. It is actually China Railway Construction Corporation(CRCC) that is the main contractor. Again without justifying his wild claims, Wee than unashamedly skipped to the next lie saying that the commitment letter by CRCC is not stamped when the entire agreement is stamped. UMNO Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor should fully withdraw and apologise to the Christian community in Malaysia for his wrong example that churches are a centre of fake news to spread untruths in their sermons. Tengku Adnan later clarified that he only referred to churches as an example, because his message is to all houses of worship including mosques, suraus, and temples.
In the interests of religious harmony and mutual respect amongst different faiths, it is wrong to single out churches even though he is using this as an example. This would only lend a negative impression of churches especially when all places of religious worship are dedicated towards disseminating truth about their religion and not untruths or fake news. MCA Minister Wee Ka Siong’s desperate lies to sabotage the Penang road and tunnel project with false allegations of corruption will not whitewash the RM 52 billion 1MDB scandal that has made Malaysia world famous as a global kleptocracy. The 3 roads and tunnel project was the first project in Malaysian electoral history to be presented to the people on the eve of the 2013 general elections to allow the people to decide whether they support this initiative to alleviate traffic congestion, by giving them the option to endorse or vote out the Pakatan government.
