Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 11.4.2014.
The DAP CEC at its meeting on 7.4.2014 regretfully accepted the decision of Bukit Glugor MP Karpal Singh to step aside as DAP National Chairman until he disposes his court case. Karpal is appealing against the Kuala Lumpur High Court decision, which fined him RM4,000 for sedition on March 11, effectively disqualifying him as DAP MP for Bukit Glugor and also barred him from holding all political posts,
Even though Karpal had stepped down as DAP National Chairman in compliance with the Societies Act, the DAP CEC resolved unanimously to reserve the CEC position vacant and await Karpal’s return. In the interim, Deputy National Chairman and MP for Cheras Tan Kok Wai, shall be the Acting National Chairman. DAP also strongly condemned the Attorney-General Chambers for filing a cross-appeal to the Court of Appeal seeking a heavier sentence.

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Komtar, George Town On 27.3.2014.
The mysterious privatisation of Penang Port under a restricted tender raises serious questions of public interest, accountability and transparency. This follows the revelation in a written answer to my parliamentary question by Minister in the Prime Minister Deparment Dato’ Sri Abdul Wahid Omar that the agreement between the successful bidder Seaport Terminal (Johore) Sdn Bhd was finalised in a supplemental agreement on 23 November 2013.
Unless a full public announcement is made by the Transport Ministry, this privatisation will be seen as just another piratisation exercise similar to the highway toll concessionaires. The refusal of the Transport Ministry so far to make any public clarification of how this privatisation exercise benefits public interest smacks of arrogance, secretiveness and mismanagement which is steeped in the BN ethos of reciprocal favours, patronage and conspiracy.
According to the Minister in the Prime Minister Deparment written reply on 24.3.2014 as attached :-

DAP’s 48th Anniversary Message by DAP Secretary General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng On 18th March 2014 in Kuala Lumpur.
While the nation prays for MH370 in sombre mood, the DAP is not celebrating its 48th anniversary today apart from this note to acknowledge the party has come into existence since 18 March 1966. This day 48 years ago, a group of patriotic Malaysians came together to form the Democratic Action Party to bring forth a Malaysia that is just and fair to all, regardless race, creed and gender.
Right from the beginning, it has been an epic uphill battle fighting an authoritarian regime that not only persecutes our leaders and members but also conduct widespread electoral manipulation in elections that are not free and fair, media restrictions, detention without trial and other forms of repressive measures.

Opening Speech By DAP Secretary-General and MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng During The Johor DAP State Ordinary Convention In Batu Pahat On 12.1.2014.
The price hikes by the BN Federal government this year in sugar, petrol, power tariffs and road tolls has highlighted the sad fact that wages can not keep up with inflation. Real wages of export-oriented industries rose by 1.9% whilst that of domestic-oriented industries rose by 1.4% after 1997.
DAP proposes a minimum monthly wage of RM 1,100 combined with a grace period for SMEs for 5 years would serve to increase income for Malaysians and help economic growth by protecting Malaysian SMEs. I believe thatPR’s minimum wage policy is RM 1,100 monthly is acceptable to Small and Medium Entreprises(SMEs) provided that it does not cover foreign workers. After the 5 years grace period, SMEs have to pay the minimum monthly wage to all foreign and local workers.

DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng’s Opening Speech At The DAP Sabah State Ordinary Convention On 11.1.2014 In Kota Kinabalu.
DAP’s Impian Sabah of providing basic facilities to the Sabah poor will be the promise of change towards a better Sabah with dignity, freedom, justice, democracy and integrity. By using DAP’s limited resources to provide water and electricity to native Sabahan villages neglected by BN over the last 50 years, DAP can prove by words and deeds that we can do much more in government than the little we are able to do as an opposition party.
Apart from breaking their promises in the General Elections promises, what has BN done to reassure Sabahans that Sabah is an equal partners in the Malaysian Federation? BN has failed to undertake even the basic duty of providing security to Sabahans not just from criminals but also from foreign invaders, until tourists can be killed and kidnapped at will.

KENYATAAN AKHBAR OLEH Pegawai Kewangan Negeri Pulau Pinang, Dato’ Haji Mokhtar bin Mohd Jait pada 03.01.2014.
PEMBELIAN KERETA MERCEDES-BENZ S300L UNTUK YAB. KETUA MENTERI PULAU PINANG

UMNO’s President Advice To MCA That the Health Ministry Issues Political Viagra To Revive Itself Only Reminds Malaysians That With Friends Like UMNO, Who Needs Enemies?
MCA suffered the ultimate political humiliation, not from the general election losses and rejection by the rakyat, but from their long time friend in UMNO when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak told the MCA General Assembly yesterday, “You have the members, you have the people, but it’s like the flesh is there but the spirit is weak. We need some political Viagra… We ask the Health minister to provide the medication”
Political parties form, survive and evolve through the passionate fire of principles and to bring about desired change for the rakyat. When political parties lose sight of these principles and are tainted by the corrupting influence of money and power, they will be rejected by the rakyat.

Opening Speech By DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng During The 2013 Perak State Ordinary Convention In Bukit Merah On 8.12.2013.
If The Prime Minister Is Sincere In His Admiration Of Nelson Mandela, He Should Abandon Racial Domination And Discrimination And Fight For A Democratic, Free Society That Guarantees Equal Opportunities For All.
I wish to congratulate all Perak DAP leaders and members under the leadership of Sdr Ngeh Koo Ham for your hard work and unity in helping DAP achieve a great victory in the 2013 general elections by recording a 100% victory with an additional parliamentary seat of Kampar and helping PR increase its popular vote to 55%. On behalf of DAP, we humbly thank Perak voters for your increased support.
If the general elections were clean and fair as well as respect the democratic principle of “one-man,one-vote,one-value”, with 55% of the votes PR would have been the state government and Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaludin would be returned as the rightful Perak Menteri Besar. However BN cheated in the general elections by gerrymandering the constituency to favour BN.

Destruction of Ancient Hindu Temple, Bujang Valley, Kedah
Malaysians are shocked that an ancient Hindu temple (Candi) belonging to the Sri Vijaya era, about 1200 years, was demolished by a developer to make way for a housing project in Sungei Batu area of Kedah.
Candi No. 11 in Sungei Batu area of the Bujang Valley was one of the temples rebuilt in the 1970s using materials from the pre-historic era. Hidden in the midst of a small oilpalm estate, the developer demolished the Candi before mowing down the trees for a housing project.

Anthony Loke And Gobind Singh Deo Will Respectively Take Disciplinary Action Against Party Members “Wearing Rocket Badges But Have BN Hearts” Who Try To Destroy And Sabotage DAP As Well As Take Legal Action Against BN-Controlled Media Who Persist In Defaming DAP With Lies.
DAP National Organising Secretary Sdr Anthony Loke and DAP Legal Bureau head Sdr Gobind Singh Deo have been respectively directed to investigate and take disciplinary action against party members “wearing Rocket badges but have BN hearts” who try to destroy and sabotage DAP as well as take legal action against BN-controlled media who persist in defaming DAP with lies.
The MP for Seremban and State Assemblyman for Chenaah Sdr Anthony Loke will then be requested to submit a formal complaint, if there is a basis for futher action, to the party’s Disciplinary Committee headed by DAP Deputy Chair and MP for Cheras Sdr Tan Kok Wai. At the same time Sdr Gobind will study the statements published by the BN-controlled media to file defamation suits immediately to protect the party from being subjected to further attacks that may give opportunities for any harsh or oppressive action by the Registrar of Societies(ROS).
DAP had created history by being the first political party in Malaysia to appoint an international accounting firm to monitor the entire re-election process from the issuance of notices to delegates to the counting process. This party re-election on 29 September 2013 was forced upon the DAP by the ROS who had refused to give any reason for doing so.

The Special Screening Of “Tanda Putera” To Commemorate Malaysian Airlines(MAS) 41st Anniversary Celebrations Insults All MAS Customers Who Are Offended By The Lies That Is Not Only Historically Wrong But Also Racially Offensive And Derogatory.
DAP condemns MAS for holding the special screening of “Tanda Putera” to celebrate its 41st anniversary as a “special treat” for MAS staff. What motivation from this hugely unpopular and discredited film can inspire MAS staff to scale greater heights, especially in turning around its huge losses?
MAS Managing Director’s announcement of the special screening of “Tanda Putera” to commemorate Malaysian Airlines(MAS) 41st anniversary celebrations insults all MAS customers who are gravely offended by the lies that is not only historically wrong but also racially offensive and derogatory. Even Tanda Putera had admitted to lying with the weak excuse that they were using “creative license” in film-making.
For instance, Tanda Putera producers have admitted they made a mistake accusing DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang of urinating on a flagpole in a Facebook posting last year. In their facebook posting Tanda Putera even unreservedly apologise to DAP leader Lim Kit Siang for the embarrassment caused by the such lies. Utusan Malaysia had also apologised to Lim Kit Siang and me for making similar lies.
