DAP Is Big Enough For Tunku Abdul Aziz To Remain As National Vice-Chair And Accomodate His Irreconciliable Differences With The DAP On Bersih’s Quest To Conduct A Sit-In Protest In Dataran Merdeka To Press For Clean Elections.

When announcing his resignation from DAP, Senator Tunku Abdul Aziz Tunku Ibrahim cited “irreconcilable differences” with the party leadership in dissenting with DAP’s official position to support Bersih 3.0 to conduct a peaceful sit-in protest in Dataran Merdeka to press for clean, free and fair elections. I urge all members to close ranks and stay focused on the historic opportunity for change to save Malaysia in the coming general elections.(en/bm/cn)

Media Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 21.3.2012.

Last night Sdr Lim Kit Siang, Sdr Dr Chen Man Hin and I had a meeting with DAP National Chair Sdr Karpal Singh. We agree that the latest episode that has been highlighted by the BN-controlled media has ended.

I urge all members to close ranks and stay focused on the historic opportunity for change to save Malaysia in the coming general elections. All party leaders and members should stand united together so that our political enemies will not attempt to exploit the situation by organizing demonstrations against the DAP or DAP leaders on one pretext or another.

DAP 46th Anniversary Message (en/bm/cn)

DAP 46th Anniversary Message By DAP Secretary-General and Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 18.3.2012.

DAP’s Very Political Survival At Stake In The Next General Elections If Our Members And Supporters Do Not Successfully Repulse BN’s Shameless Tactics of 4M of Money, Media, Machinery of Government, Menacing PR Leaders and 4R of Race, Religion, Royalty & Rigging The Election Commission.

On the occasion of DAP’s 46th anniversary since it was first registered on 18 March 1966, DAP urges all leaders and members to redouble efforts to ensure that PR wins the next general elections so that DAP can remain a party in power in state governments and hopefully in the Federal government too. The danger signals are evident that the 13th General Elections will be the dirtiest in Malaysian history.

Unlike MCA, DAP Will Not Permit But Will Take Disciplinary Action Against Any DAP Member Caught Attending Perkasa Functions.(en/cn)

Unlike MCA, DAP will not permit any member to attend Perkasa functions but will take disciplinary action against any DAP member caught doing so. For any Malaysian to attend Perkasa functions not only lends legitimacy to Perkasa’s objectives of reducing non-Malays to 2nd or 3rd class citizens, but also that UMNO’s racial dominance is more important than the critical issues of human rights, corruption and abuse of power.

I will not stoop to the level of MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, who has launched personal attacks against me just to avoid answering the question why MCA will not ban but still permit its members and supporters to attend Perkasa’s functions. Today MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said in The Star that MCA is still studying the agenda of members attending Perkasa’s functions.

UMNO and Utusan Malaysia Has Lost Credibility Even Amongst Malays When Utusan Malaysia Was Found Guilty By The Penang High Court Of Spreading Lies And Ordered To Pay RM200,000 For Defaming Me As Anti-Islam And Anti-Malay.(en/bm/cn)

Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 30.1.2012

UMNO and Utusan Malaysia Has Lost Credibility Even Amongst Malays When Utusan Malaysia Was Found Guilty By The Penang High Court Of Spreading Lies And Ordered To Pay RM200,000 For Defaming Me As Anti-Islam And Anti-Malay.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhydin Yassin’s attack on DAP as chauvinistic and anti-Malay as well as Utusan Malaysia’s incendiary statement that DAP is the world’s most racist party shows their sheer frustration that more and more Malays no longer believe in UMNO and Utusan until some have even joined the DAP. Utusan Malaysia has lost credibility even amongst Malays when Utusan Malaysia was found guilty by the Penang High Court of spreading lies and ordered to pay RM200,000 for defaming me as anti-Islam and anti-Malay.

Tan Sri Muhyidin has no right to call DAP chauvisnistic when DAP is multi-racial and open to all Malaysians whereas Tan Sri Muhydin is Malay first and Malaysian second. Tan Sri Muhyidin’s refusal to condemn Utusan Malaysia for calling the tragic May 13 riots which caused the deaths of thousands of Malaysians, mainly non-Malays, as a
sacred day shows who is the real chauvinist and racist.

Chua Soi Lek Should State Which Seat He Is Standing In The Next General Elections (en/cn)

Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 18.1.2012

Chua Soi Lek Should State Which Seat He Is Standing In The Next General Elections So That We Can See His Response If DAP Does A “Liow Tiong Lai Act” By Declaring Confidence Of Beating Chua.

MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek should state which seat he is contesting in the next general elections so that we can see his response if DAP does a “Liow Tiong Lai act” by declaring confidence in defeating Chua. DAP is not interested in playing the boastful games of MCA, when the only one making political challenges is the MCA and not DAP.

I wish to remind MCA President Chua Soi Lek that Continue reading ‘Chua Soi Lek Should State Which Seat He Is Standing In The Next General Elections (en/cn)’

THE MALAYSIAN DREAM OF CHANGE, MODERATION AND HOPE (en/bm/cn)

Opening Speech By DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng During The DAP National Conference In Shah Alam, Selangor On 8 January 2012.

THE MALAYSIAN DREAM OF CHANGE, MODERATION AND HOPE

After nearly 4 years since the political tsunami of 8 March 2008, we now stand on the horizon of a General Election that is set to become the most critical General Election in the history of Malaysia.

For the first time, we will be contesting as part of a grand coalition called Pakatan Rakyat. For the first time, we will be contesting not merely to deny Barisan Nasional’s two-thirds majority but to win power. For the first time, Malaysians will have an alternative that is united, viable and proven.

Christians celebrate not just the birth of Jesus Christ but also hope on Christmas Day. We pray for peace, joy and goodwill to all. Penang also celebrates hope by establishing a people-centric government based on integrity, good governance and letting the people realise their full potential.

Penang has benefited from a clean government. It is not just praise for good financial management from the Auditor-General or from Transparency International for implementing open tenders and fighting corruption. Penang has recorded budget surpluses for the state government, MPPP and MPSP since 2008.

DAP’s Greatest Twin Successes In The Last 45 Years Is Becoming A Partner In Government Especially Capturing Power In Penang And Proving Our Competency By Providing Good Governance For Penang. (en/bm/cn)

Speech By DAP Secretary-General And Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng In The Penang DAP State Annual Convention At Pearl View Hotel In Prai, Penang On 11.12.2011.

DAP’s greatest twin successes in the last 45 years is becoming a partner in government, especially capturing power in Penang, and proving our competency in providing good governance for Penang. When we were in political wilderness, our leaders and members were not only hounded and persecuted by the BN government, we were also ridiculed and humiliated for daring to dream of a better Malaysia by replacing BN.

I would like to thank all our veteran leaders and members who have played an important historical role in DAP’s march to history and power. Without your sacrifices and contribution in our glorious past we will not be here in the present today.

As difficult it is to win power, retaining power is equally difficult. We have to overcome not just inexperience but also skeptics from our political opponents to our own supporters who doubted our ability to govern well.

A Police Report Will Be Lodged Against UMNO Online Within 48 Hours If No Withdrawal And Apology Is Made By UMNO Online (en/cn)

A Police Report Will Be Lodged Against UMNO Online Within 48 Hours If No Withdrawal And Apology Is Made By UMNO Online For Their Dirty Politics And Lies Against My Young Son That He Outraged The Modesty Of His Girl Classmate.

Both my wife and I are outraged at the continued attacks by BN leaders on the lies about my young old son outraging the modesty of his girl classmate, causing him to be transferred to another school and that I had even paid RM200,000 to the girl’s family to hush up the matter. I had wanted to let the matter rest after my young son, who is not even 16, was proven innocent.
