Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 26.12.2017.
PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang’s seditious and dangerous proposal of racist and extremist Malay-Muslim Cabinet line-up under a Pas-Influenced Federal government must be strongly condemned because it is not only unconstitutional but will also lead to a break-up and dissolution of Malaysia. There is no mention by Hadi of fighting corruption and financial scandals such as 1MDB or abolishing the GST that has caused so much economic hardship to the people.
Hadi’s exclusive Malay-Muslim Cabinet is clearly unconstitutional as it reduces non-Malays and non-Malay Muslims to citizens of inferior status with diminished rights. No non-Malay, non-Muslim and even the vast majority of Malay-Muslims(who are moderate) in Malaysia will accept such an extremist and racist position, that can be identified only with the Talibans.
By taking such a hard-line extremist and racist position, Hadi will not only frighten off Sabah and Sarawak, but may even lead to the break up of Malaysia as a nation into Muslim Malay sections and non-Malay Muslims, non-Malays sections. This is the type of political party that UMNO actively wants to co-operate with, because PAS is willing to overlook BN’s rampant corruption and turning Malaysia into a kleptocracy to enable PAS to pursue such racist and extremist objectives.
Clearly DAP took the correct position to break off with PAS leaders after the retirement of former Kelantan Menteri Besar Tok Guru Nik Aziz, whose moderate and anti-UMNO position was replaced by Hadi’s extremist, racist and pro-unity government with UMNO. DAP is willing to pay any political price to uphold our principles and defend the Federal Constitution by breaking off with PAS. This is unlike MCA, Gerakan and SUPP that dare not break off ties with an UMNO that sought co-operation with PAS to save UMNO’s support from the corruption and kleptocracy of 1MDB that forced the imposition of GST.
Despite such betrayal by UMNO, political parties like MCA, Gerakan and SUPP continues to stick with UMNO. Or are the perks and privileges of Ministerial office and the temptations of power at any price, worth giving up the rights of non-Malays and non-Malay Muslims or are more powerful than fundamental principles of right and wrong?

拿督斯里哈迪阿旺指出，我国的内阁阵容应清一色由巫裔穆斯林担纲，并组织成一个受伊斯兰党影响的联邦政府。这种违宪的建议煽动危险，而且充满种族及极端主义色彩，更甚的是，它最终将撕裂整个马来西亚。
伊斯兰党主席拿督斯里哈迪阿旺指出，我国的内阁阵容应清一色由巫裔穆斯林担纲，并组织成一个受伊斯兰党影响的联邦政府。这种违宪的建议应该受到强烈的谴责，因为它煽动危险，而且充满种族及极端主义色彩，更甚的是，它最终将撕裂整个马来西亚。为何哈迪不去强调如何打击贪腐及金融丑闻一如1MDB，或是建议取消消费税，事缘消费税已经影响了经济，让人民过着水深火热的生活。
哈迪要组成具排他性的巫裔穆斯林内阁，这个提议明显的已经违宪，因为此举让非巫裔以及非巫裔穆斯林的公民权降格，剥夺了其公民权利。没有一个非巫裔、非穆斯林，甚至国内绝大多数温和中庸的巫裔穆斯林，会去接受这样极端及种族主义的立场，只有塔利班才会认同这样的建议。
若是强硬采取这种极端主义和种族主义的立场，哈迪不仅会吓跑沙巴和砂拉越，而且还可能导致马来西亚成为一个分裂的国家，硬生生地将我们撕裂成巫裔穆斯林群体、非巫裔穆斯林群体，以及非巫裔群体。这也许是巫统积极要合作的政党类型，因为伊党愿意忽视国阵猖獗的腐败，把马来西亚变成一个盗贼统治之地，也能让伊党能够追求种族主义和极端主义的目标。
在伊党领袖，即吉兰丹前州务大臣聂阿兹退下来后，民主行动党随即和该党切断关系，此举显然是正确的，因为接任的哈迪并未秉持聂阿兹的温和及反巫统的立场，取而代之的却是极端主义、种族主义，以及支持和巫统联合执政。民主行动党愿意就切断与伊党的关系一事上，付出任何的政治代价，用以坚持我们的原则以及捍卫联邦宪法。我们不像马华、民政及人联党，尽管巫统为了自救而向伊党伸手寻求合作，以便让贪污腐败、1MDB的盗贼统治以及因它而来的消费税能够长存，但马华、民政和人联党都不敢和巫统切割。
尽管巫统已经背叛，可是一些政党如马华、民政、人联党却愿意继续靠拢巫统。难道部长办公室的种种权益以及权力太过诱惑，以致他们愿意放弃非巫裔和非巫裔穆斯林的权利，还有是非对错的基本原则？
