Press Statement By DAP Secretary-General And MP For Bagan Lim Guan Eng In Kuala Lumpur On 8.5.2013

DAP expresses support for Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to be retained as Selangor Menteri Besar for a 2nd term. Tan Sri Khalid should continue as Menteri Besar after leading PR to a resounding victory at the recent general elections by winning a 2/3 majority with 44 out of 56 state seats in Selangor from the previous 36 seats.

Even though DAP won 15 seats together with PAS 15 and PKR’s 14, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim should be recognized for his integrity and stewardship of Selangor. This had enabled PR to beat back a determined effort by BN led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak himself to win back Selangor. DAP Selangor is also in full support of Tan Sri Khalid as the Selangor Menteri Besar.

Kenyataan Media Setiausaha Agung DAP merangkap Ahli Parlimen Bagan, Lim Guan Eng di Kuala Lumpur pada 8 Mei 2013.

DAP menyatakan sokongan terhadap Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim untuk dikekalkan sebagai Menteri Besar Selangor bagi penggal kedua.

DAP menyatakan sokongan terjadap Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim untuk dikekalkan sebagai Menteri Besar Selangor bagi penggal kedua. Tan Sri Khalid patut kekal sebagai Menteri Besar setelah berjaya mengetuai Pakatan Rakyat mendapat kemenangan dalam piliharaya umum baru-baru ini dengan memenangi majoriti dua pertiga dengan 44 daripada 56 kerusi DUN Selangor berbanding hanya 36 kerusi pada tahun 2008.

Walaupun DAP memenangi 15 kerusi di samping 15 kerusi daripada PAS dan 14 kerusi PKR, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim patut diiktiraf untuk integriti dan perkhidmatannya di Selangor. Ini telah membolehkan Pakatan Rakyat bangkit melawan usaha kuat BN yang diketuai Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak untuk memenangi kembali Selangor. DAP Selangor juga menyokong penuh Tan Sri Khalid sebagai Menteri Besar Selangor.

民主行动党支持丹斯里卡立继任成为雪兰莪州务大臣。

民主行动党支持丹斯里卡立依布拉欣继任成为雪兰莪州务大臣。丹斯里卡立领导民联在大选中取得漂亮的成绩，让雪州民联从56个州议席中赢得44个议席，即打破三分之二，比上届大选所赢36个议席还多，他应该继续成为雪州州务大臣。

虽然行动党、回教党及公正党各赢15、15、14个州议员， 丹斯里卡立的廉正及领导能力应该得到认可。这让民联一举击败首相纳吉企图带领国阵夺回雪州的野心。雪州行动党也全力支持丹斯里卡立继任成为雪州州务大臣。

    Congratulation to Pakatan for winning the Selangor and Penang states with flying colours. The Pakatan Rakyat must now consider strategies to continue to promote the Selangor and Penang effectively in areas where BN cannot imitate easily.
    For example, offer 1000 free university scholarships in Penang and Selangor respectively to students who pursue their further studies in the Pakatan states, as to fulfill the promise in the GE13 that education is free under the Pakatan Government.
    Another way of promoting the Pakatan Rakyat is by offering free shuttle bus service to places of interest in Penang and Selangor, sponsored by the Pakatan Government.
    In areas where safety of the public is of great concerns, please consider to set up more CCTV cameras and patrol by states employed securities to show to the public that the Pakatan Rakyat are doing everything they can to bring down the crime rates, not solely depending on the police alone.
    Let’s show Rakyat Malaysia that we sincerely care to bring better future to them.
