Payments made by MOF on behalf of 1MDB<\/strong><\/p>\n

This statement is to confirm reports published today by The Wall Street Journal and Reuters on payments made by Bank Negara Malaysia and Khazanah to the Ministry of Finance, which were then utilized to service debt obligations of 1MDB.<\/p>\n

As highlighted via the press release issued by MOF on 22 Mei 2018, MOF has made payments on behalf of 1MDB amounting RM6,975.14 million due to 1MDB\u2019s inability to pay. This amount includes the payment made to IPIC as part of the RM5.05 billon settlement agreement.<\/p>\n

The sources for the payments made to IPIC\/Aabar and on behalf of 1MDB included:<\/p>\n

1)\tRedemption of Redeemable Cumulative Convertible Preference Shares (RCCPS) by Khazanah Nasional Bhd amounting to RM1.199 billion; and<\/p>\n

2)\tSale of Lot 41, Seksyen 51 Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur to Bank Negara Malaysia amounting to RM2.066 billion.<\/p>\n

On 14 December 2017, MOF through its indirectly wholly owned company, Hartanah Mampan Sdn Bhd (HMSB) entered into a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) to sell a piece of land strategically located adjacent to Sasana Kijang. <\/p>\n

\u6b63\u5982\u8d22\u653f\u90e8\u4e8e2018\u5e745\u670822\u65e5\u5728\u65b0\u95fb\u7a3f\u6240\u5f3a\u8c03\u7684\uff0c\u7531\u4e8e\u4e00\u9a6c\u516c\u53f8\u65e0\u529b\u507f\u8fd8\u503a\u52a1\uff0c\u8d22\u653f\u90e8\u5df2\u7ecf\u4ee3\u4e00\u9a6c\u516c\u53f8\u652f\u4ed8\u4e8669\u4ebf7514\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u7684\u6b3e\u9879\u3002\u8fd9\u7b14\u6b3e\u9879\u5305\u62ec\u4e0e\u56fd\u9645\u77f3\u6cb9\u6295\u8d44\u516c\u53f8\uff08IPIC\uff09\u8fbe\u81f4\u7684\u548c\u89e3\u534f\u8bae\uff0c\u9ad8\u8fbe50\u4ebf5000\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u3002<\/p>\n

1\uff09\u5411\u56fd\u5e93\u63a7\u80a1\uff08Khazanah\uff09\u8d4e\u56de11\u4ebf9900\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u7684\u53ef\u8f6c\u6362\u4f18\u5148\u80a1\uff08Convertible Preference Shares\/Convertible Preference Share\uff0c \u4ee5\u53ca<\/p>\n

2\uff09\u4ee520\u4ebf6600\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u51fa\u552e\u4f4d\u4e8e\u5409\u9686\u5761\u7684Lot 41 Seksyen 51\u5730\u6bb5\u4e88\u56fd\u5bb6\u94f6\u884c<\/p>\n

2017\u5e7412\u670814\u65e5\uff0c\u8d22\u653f\u90e8\u901a\u8fc7\u95f4\u63a5\u62e5\u6709\u7684\u5b50\u516c\u53f8 Hartanah Mampan Sdn Bhd (HMSB) \uff0c\u4e0e \u56fd\u5bb6\u94f6\u884c\u7b7e\u7f72\u4e70\u5356\u5408\u540c\uff0c\u51fa\u552e\u4e00\u5757\u4f4d\u4e8e\u7b56\u7565\u6027\u4f4d\u7f6eSasana Kijang\u7684\u571f\u5730\u3002<\/p>\n
