Why has MACC still not taken action against PERDA and its Chairman, which has now been cited by the 2015 Auditor-General’s(AG) report for selling below market price leading to financial losses. I had earlier exposed the sale by PERDA of its land located along Jalan Dato Keramat near MRSM Transkrian Seberang Perai Selatan for RM1.42 million sale last year.<\/p>\n
The market valuation by the Finance Ministry was over RM16.6 million, but yet PERDA sold it at only RM1.42 million, a loss of some RM15.2 million. The AG Report agreed with me that there was no open tender and neither was there any current market valuation. The only difference was that the AG Report estimated the financial loss to the public of RM6.15 million whereas the Penang state government’s estimate of losses to PERDA is RM15.2 million.<\/p>\n
The AG Report stated that the justification for the sale of land at a lower price was not supported by a technical report. Penang state EXCO Dr Afif Bahardin had lodged a report with MACC on this land scandal by PERDA but so far there has been no action by MACC.<\/p>\n
The AG report also revealed that there was another sale of 5.8 acres of land in Sungai Baong below market valuation by PERDA at a loss of RM410,000. PERDA should fully account for this grave inconsistency and come clean for these financial losses. MACC should also investigate this latest revelation by the AG Report.<\/p>\n
The report also pointed out that for the same period, Perda\u2019s management weakness also showed up in phase two of the Taman Panchur Utama housing project, for which the certificate of completion and compliance was issued 315 days from the date of the certificate of practical completion.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe defect liability period was not fully utilised and Perda had to pay penalties of RM67,124 due to the delay in handing over the keys to purchasers, and the quality of construction was less than satisfactory,\u201d it said. Is PERDA continuing to keep a deafening silence and not taking action against anyone in PERDA for such mismanagement and financial wrongdoings that resulted in so much losses?<\/p>\n

\u6211\u5728\u8f83\u65e9\u524d\u66fe\u7ecf\u63ed\u9732\u69df\u5dde\u533a\u57df\u53d1\u5c55\u673a\u6784\uff08PERDA\uff09\u4ee5142\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u7684\u4ef7\u683c\uff0c\u51fa\u552e\u4e00\u7247\u4f4d\u4e8e\u9ad8\u6e0a\u7406\u5927\u5de5\u7a0b\u5206\u9662\u9644\u8fd1\u7684\u571f\u5730\u3002\u4e3a\u4f55\u53cd\u8d2a\u6c61\u59d4\u5458\u4f1a\u81f3\u4eca\u4ecd\u672a\u5bf9\u69df\u5dde\u533a\u57df\u53d1\u5c55\u673a\u6784\u91c7\u53d6\u884c\u52a8\uff1f\u6709\u5173\u673a\u6784\u7684\u4e3b\u5e2d\u73b0\u5728\u5df2\u7ecf\u88ab2015\u5e74\u603b\u7a3d\u67e5\u53f8\u62a5\u544a\u70b9\u540d\uff0c\u6307\u5176\u7528\u4f4e\u4e8e\u5e02\u4ef7\u7684\u4ef7\u683c\u8d31\u5356\u571f\u5730\uff0c\u9020\u6210\u4e86\u8d22\u52a1\u4e8f\u635f\u3002<\/p>\n
\u6839\u636e\u8d22\u653f\u90e8\u7684\u8bc4\u4f30\uff0c\u8fd9\u7247\u571f\u5730\u7684\u5e02\u503c\u81f3\u5c111660\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\uff0c\u4f46\u69df\u5dde\u533a\u57df\u53d1\u5c55\u673a\u6784\u5374\u4ec5\u4ec5\u4ee5142\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u7684\u4ef7\u683c\u8131\u624b\uff0c\u635f\u5931\u4e861520\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u3002\u603b\u7a3d\u67e5\u53f8\u62a5\u544a\u4e5f\u8ba4\u540c\u4e86\u6211\u7684\u89c2\u70b9\uff0c\u5373\u8fd9\u9879\u4ea4\u6613\u5e76\u6ca1\u6709\u91c7\u7528\u516c\u5f00\u62db\u6807\uff0c\u4e5f\u6ca1\u6709\u6700\u65b0\u7684\u5e02\u573a\u4f30\u4ef7\u3002\u552f\u4e00\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u603b\u7a3d\u67e5\u53f8\u62a5\u544a\u8ba4\u4e3a\u6709\u5173\u4ea4\u6613\u8ba9\u4eba\u6c11\u635f\u5931\u4e86615\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\uff0c\u800c\u69df\u5dde\u653f\u5e9c\u5219\u8ba4\u4e3a\u635f\u5931\u8fbe1520\u4e07\u4ee4\u5409\u3002<\/p>\n
