The 15 cents increase in petrol prices coupled with the withdrawal of cooking oil subsidies makes a mockery of the RM200 increase in BR1M as a classic case giving with the right hand but taking back much more with the left hand. RON95 will now be priced at RM1.95 per litre, RON97 RM2.30 per litr1e and diesel at RM2 a litre.<\/p>\n
Since March this year, diesel prices have risen by 48%, RON95 is up 22% and RON97 is up 18%. The rise in petrol and cooking oil prices will only add on to the burden of consumers. Desperate buying of cooking oil has resulted in a shortage of cooking oil with many supermarket shelves empty.<\/p>\n
The rise in cooking oil is expected to add up RM50 per person per year. For a family of 5 this would work out to RM250 extra costs annually, much more than the RM200 increase in BR1M offered by the 2017 Budget to the lowest income groups. Clearly lower income families do not gain from the increase in BR1M as promised by BN propaganda, but are in fact cheated by the accompanying price rises such as cooking oil and petrol prices by the BN Federal government. <\/p>\n
The 2017 Budget has no economic significance in improving the livelihood of poorer families with only 18% of the Budget devoted to development expenditure. Clearly BN is still haunted by the RM52 billion 1 MDB scandal and the RM4.2 billion donation scandal that has caused the current drop in the value of the ringgit, the imposition of the much-hated GST and the economic downturn. DAP condemns the unjustified increases in petrol and cooking oil prices as completely unsympathetic to the economic hardships of ordinary Malaysians.<\/p>\n

\u4ece\u4eca\u5e743\u6708\u8d77\uff0c\u67f4\u6cb9\u4ef7\u683c\u4e00\u5171\u6da8\u4e8648%\u3001RON95\u6da8\u4e8622%\uff0c\u800cRON97 \u5219\u6da8\u4e8618%\u3002\u6c7d\u6cb9\u53ca\u98df\u7528\u6cb9\u7684\u6da8\u4ef7\uff0c\u5c06\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u52a0\u91cd\u6d88\u8d39\u8005\u7684\u8d1f\u62c5\u3002\u5e02\u573a\u4e0a\u6380\u8d77\u7684\u62a2\u8d2d\u98df\u7528\u6cb9\u4e3e\u52a8\uff0c\u5df2\u7ecf\u5bfc\u81f4\u8bb8\u591a\u8d85\u5e02\u51fa\u73b0\u98df\u7528\u6cb9\u77ed\u7f3a\u7684\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n
