Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan should stop behaving like a headless chicken trying to chicken out from his own challenge to debate me by entrapping me to sue him for defamation, where he can then rely on the excuse that the debate cannot proceed because it is sub judice. This is a classic tactic of cowards; similar to the explanation used by a person accused of murdering both his parents pleading for clemency because he is an orphan.<\/p>\n
To jog the memory of Abdul Rahman, it was Rahman that first challenged me to a public debate televised on TV3 or RTM. When I immediately accepted, Abdul Rahman panicked and fled overseas for 10 days. When he returned home, he relied on the inspector-general of police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar to save his neck, when Khalid adviced that the debate should be called off pending investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission(MACC).<\/p>\n
I regret that Abdul Rahman has continued to lie that I called him a political whore. I have never used such vulgar language against him.<\/p>\n
As for me filing a defamation suit, I can always do so, after the publicly televised debate. I have 6 years to file a defamation suit and he should be patient. Let us get on with the debate first. I will not allow Rahman to chicken out from the debate and get off the hook so easily.<\/p>\n
Abdul Rahman has dishonestly exploited BN media outlets to conduct a public vilification exercise to destroy me politically and distract attention from the real corruption scandal of 1MDB RM50 billion scandal and the RM4.2 billion donation scandal. By using MACC investigations against me as his excuse to call off his own debate, but yet contradicting himself by harping on the matter even though MACC investigations are still ongoing, his continued actions lend suspicions of this Minister\u2019s actions that could influence investigations for political reasons.<\/p>\n
