DAP calls for a Royal Commission of Inquiry if the Attorney-General Chambers(AGC) refuses to answer implicit allegations of racist bias and even selective prosecution by former Transport Minister and ex-MCA President Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik over the RM12.85 billion Port Klang Free Trade Zone(PKFZ) scandal. These implicit allegations were made to a Chinese newspaper where Liong Sik accused AGC of looking down and disrespecting the country’s Chinese leaders who have contributed to the country. <\/p>\n
Ling was acquitted of deceiving the Cabinet by failing to disclose an additional interest rate of 7.5% to the purchase price of RM 25 per sq ft in the PKFZ deal, despite knowing that the interest rate was included in the price. Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad testified in court that he had not been cheated by Ling. <\/p>\n
Ling Liong Sik claimed that he was wrongly prosecuted even though he has done nothing wrong. He further made the shocking claim that AGC only started gathering evidence after charging him to court, instead of the other way round, and did not even record former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad\u2019s statement beforehand. <\/p>\n
Does Ling\u2019s implicit allegations of racial bias and selective prosecution mean that the AGC could have charged other personalities involved in the PKFZ scandal? These are serious allegations by Ling that needs to be fully addressed by AGC, especially with the withdrawal of cheating charges against another former Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy over this scandal. <\/p>\n
Isn\u2019t it ridiculous that with potential losses of RM 12.85 billion to 28 million Malaysians, there are no wrongdoers but many who profit from the PKFZ scandal at the expense of the people. Where is the crediblity and integrity of the administration of justice by the AGC when there is no one to be punished? <\/p>\n
The AGC must also explain why threats made against BN leaders are immediately acted upon with arrests and charged in court, but not when threats are made against a Chinese Chief Minister. I have made so many reports of threats to kill me and even followed police advice to lodge police reports over false allegations by UMNO against my underaged son that he molested his female classmate, but no action has been taken. Can the AGC why there is immediate action on threats made against Malay BN Prime Ministers or Menteri Besars but none on threats against a PR Chinese Chief Minister or my family?<\/p>\n

Jabatan Peguam Negara mesti menjawab dakwaan kewujudan bias perkauman malah pendakwaan terpilih, oleh Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik bersabit skandal Port Klang Free Trade Zone bernilai Rm12.85 bilion. Ling dibebaskan daripada tuduhan menipu Kabinet apabila beliau gagal memaklumkan kewujudan kadar faedah tambahan sebanyak 7.5% kepada harga pembelian tanah RM25 sekaki persegi dalam perjanjian PKFZ, walaupun mengetahui kadar faedah itu termasuk dalam harga tersebut. Mantan Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad telah memberi kesaksian di mahkamah bahawa beliau tidak ditipu oleh Ling.<\/p>\n Ling Liong Sik menyatakan bahawa beliau telah didakwa secara salah walaupun beliau tidak melakukan apa-apa kesalahan. Beliau kemudiannya membuat dakwaan mengejutkan bahawa Jabatan Peguam Negara hanya mula mengumpulkan bukti selepas beliau didakwa di mahkamah, dan bukan sebaliknya, malah langsung tidak merakamkan percakapan Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad lebih awal.<\/p>\n Adakah dakwaan tersirat Ling tentang bias perkauman dan pendakwaan terpilih bermaksud Jabatan Peguam Negara mungkin turut boleh mendakwa personaliti lain yang terlibat dalam skandal PKFZ tetapi tidak berbuat demikian? Ini adalah dakwaan serius yang ditimbulkan Ling dan mesti dijawab sepenuhnya oleh Jabatan Peguam Negara, terutama sekali dengan penarikbalikan dakwaan menipu terhadap seorang lagi bekas menteri pengangkutan yang terbabit dengan skandal ini, iaitu Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy.<\/p>\n Bukankah sangat merepek bahawa, dengan potensi kerugian RM12.85 bilion terhadap 28 juta rakyat Malaysia, tidak ada sesiapa yang bersalah malah ramai pula yang mendapat faedah daripada skandal PKFZ dengan bermodalkan dana rakyat. Di mana kredibiliti dan integriti pentadbiran keadilan di Jabatan Peguam Negara apabila tiada siapa pun dihukum?<\/p>\n Jabatan Peguam Negara juga mesti menjelaskan kenapa ancaman terhadap pemimpin BN begitu cepat sekali diambil tindakan dengan tangkapan dan pendakwaan di mahkamah, tetapi tidak apabila ugutan serupa dibuat terhadap seorang Ketua Menteri Cina. Saya telah membuat banyak laporan tentang ugutan bunuh terhadap saya dan malah mengikut nasihat polis untuk membuat laporan tentang dakwaan palsu oleh UMNO terhadap anak bawah umur saya kononnya beliau mencabul kehormatan rakan sekelasnya, tetapi tiada tindakan pun yang diambil. Bolehkah pihak Jabatan Peguam Negara menjelaskan kenapa tindakan segera boleh diambil terhadap ancaman kepada Perdana Menteri atau Menteri Besar Melayu Barisan Nasional tetapi tidak kepada ancaman \nDAP menggesa sebuah Suruhanjaya Siasatan DiRaja ditubuhkan seandainya Jabatan Peguam Negara enggan menjawab dakwaan kewujudan bias perkauman malah pendakwaan terpilih, oleh Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik bersabit skandal Port Klang Free Trade Zone bernilai Rm12.85 bilion. Dakwaan tersirat ini dibuat kepada sebuah akhbar CIna di mana Liong Sik menuduh Jabatan Peguam Negara memandang rendah dan menghina pemimpin Cina negara ini yang telah banyak berjasa.<\/p>\n
