Ahmad Zahid Hamidi Practices Double-Standards By Not Demanding For A Fresh General Elections When The Elections Commission Never Made Any Correction With The Indelible Ink That Could Be Immediately Washed Off, But Yet Wanting DAP To Conduct Party Re-Elections When DAP Had Already Corrected The Mistake In The Results.

\nDAP\u2019s worst fears that the directive for re-elections(pemilihan semula) issued to the DAP is politically motivated, has been realised with the short letter issued by the Registrar of Societies to the DAP Headquarters received at 4.48pm yesterday.(see attached) That this is an act of political victimisation and abuse of power by Home Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is indisputable when no grounds were given for this RoS directive.<\/p>\n

RoS only stated in their letter dated 30 July 2013 that they were not satisfied with DAP\u2019s explanations, without stating the grounds and the reasons why. DAP had provided a full explanations and co-operated fully with the RoS. All supporting documents was given to prove that the party elections in December last year was conducted properly, legally and democratically where all qualified delegates were fully informed without any dishonest practice of money politics. <\/p>\n

The only mistake was in the posting of the results by the Returning Officer that led to the wrong votes being announced for a few candidates which had an impact on only one successful candidate. The mistake led to one candidate, Vincent Wu, who was wrongly announced as a successful candidate was replaced by the actual successful candidate, Zairil Khir Johari. When this error was discovered, this was admitted to and rectified by the party voluntarily without being exposed by any outside parties. The party is now punished for refusing to cover-up mistakes, and for being both honest and truthful.<\/p>\n

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi practices double-standards in not demanding for a fresh general elections when the Elections Commission never made any correction with the indelible ink that could be immediately washed off, but yet wanting the DAP to conduct party re-elections for DAP when DAP had already corrected the mistake in the results<\/p>\n

Such a brief letter by RoS stating the directive but not the reasons why as well as providing evidence that supports the RoS decision is most unprofessional, flagrant misuse of their exercise of power resulting in a great injustice to the DAP. Where is natural justice if an organisation or an individual is condemned or punished without knowing the reasons and what are the facts against him? If so, then every person convicted will only know the sentence of fines and\/or imprisonment against him without knowing why he was punished.<\/p>\n

Malaysians can only conclude that RoS has already made a subjective political decision in favour of BN to pre-judge the whole issue to \u201cfix up\u201d the DAP, without due regard for facts and rules. That this was a political decision was clearly emphasised by the premature announcement made by Datuk Ahmad two days ago during the RoS buka puasa event in Putra Jaya when RoS had not even prepared the letter.<\/p>\n

When DAP National Organising Secretary and MP for Seremban Anthony Loke visited the ROS Headquarters in Putrajaya yesterday morning, he was informed that the letter was not ready to be sent yet. Clearly there was malicious and mala fide intent by Ahmad and RoS against the DAP. This latest decision by the RoS will be fully discussed at an emergency CEC meeting tonight at the DAP Headquarters DAP.<\/p>\n

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi mengamalkan double-standard apabila beliau tidak pun menuntut diadakan pilihanraya umum sekali lagi apabila Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya tidak pun membuat sebarang pembetulan tentang dakwat kekal yang boleh tanggal segera, tetapi mahu DAP melakukan pemilihan semula walaupun DAP telah membetulkan kesilapan dalam keputusan pemilihan.<\/p>\n

Kerisauan terbesar DAP bahawa arahan supaya diadakan pemilihan semula yang diberikan kepada DAP adalah bermotifkan politik telah menjadi kenyataan berdasarkan surat ringkas yang dihantar oleh Pendaftar Pertubuhan (ROS) ke ibu pejabat DAP yang diterima pada jam 4:48 petang semalam (lihat lampiran). Ini merupakan tindakan pemangsaan politik serta salahguna kuasa oleh Menteri Dalam Negeri Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi yang tidak dapat disangkal memandangkan tidak ada alasan dan sebab diberikan untuk arahan ROS ini.
\nROS sekadar menyatakan dalam suratnya bertarikh 30 Julai 2013 bahawa ia tidak berpuas hati dengan penerangan DAP, tanpa memberikan sebab-sebab dan alasan kenapa. DAP telah pun memberikan penjelasan serta kerjasama penuh kepada ROS. Semua dokumen sokongan turut diberikan bagi membuktikan bahawa pemilihan parti Disember tahun lalu telah dijalankan dengan baik, sah dan demokratik di mana semua perwakilan yang layak telah dimaklumkan tanpa sebarang perlakuan tidak jujur dan politik wang.<\/p>\n

Satu-satunya kesilapan adalah dalam hal penyiaran keputusan oleh ketua pegawai pemilihan yang mengakibatkan jumlah undi yang salah diumumkan untuk beberapa calon dan hanya memberi kesan kepada satu calon yang berjaya. Kesilapan ini mengakibatkan seorang calon, Vincent Wu, yang telah diumumkan sebagai calon yang berjaya secara silap digantikan dengan calon yang sepatutnya, Zairil Khir Johari. Apabila kesilapan ini disedari, ia terus diperakui dan diperbetulkan oleh pihak parti secara sukarela tanpa didedahkan oleh mana-mana pihak luar. Pihak parti sekarang sedang dihukum kerana enggan menutup kesilapan, dan kerana berlaku jujur dan berkata benar.<\/p>\n

Surat yang begitu singkat daripada ROS memberikan arahan tersebut tanpa memberikan sebab mahupun memberikan bukti yang menyokong keputusan ROS itu sangat tidak profesional, serta merupakan salahguna kuasa secara terang-terangan yang mengakibatkan ketidakadilan terhadap DAP. Di manakah keadilan apabila sebuah pertubuhan mahupun individu dihukum tanpa dimaklumkan sebab dan ditunjukkan apa-apa bukti terhadapnya? Jika begitu, semua orang yang disabitkan kesalahan hanya akan mengetahui hukuman denda atau penjara terhadapnya tanpa mengetahui sebab kenapa dia dihukum.<\/p>\n

Rakyat Malaysia kini hanya boleh membuat kesimpulan bahawa ROS telah pun membuat keputusan politik secara subjektif yang memihak BN untuk terlebih dahulu menghakimi isu tersebut bagi mengkhianati DAP, tanpa peduli akan fakta dan peraturan. Hakikat bahawa ini adalah suatu keputusan politik ditekankan lagi dengan pengumumuman pra-matang yang dibuat oleh Datuk Ahmad Zahid dua hari lalu sewaktu majlis berbuka puasa ROS di Putrajaya di saat pihak ROS belum menyediakan surat tersebut.<\/p>\n

Apabila Setiausaha Organisasi Kebangsaan DAP yang juga Ahli Parlimen Seremban, Anthony Loke melawat ibu pejabat ROS di Putrajaya pagi semalam, beliau dimaklumkan bahawa surat tersebut masih belum siap untuk dihantar. Jelas sekali terdapat niat jahat antara Ahmad Zahid dan ROS terhadap DAP. Keputusan terkini oleh ROS ini akan dibincangkan sepenuhnya dalam mesyuarat tergempar CEC di ibu pejabat DAP malam ini. <\/p>\n
