\nBy Questioning Dr Chen Man Hin Over A Baseless Allegations When Pro-BN Leaders Are Permitted To Make Seditious Lies, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar Is A Willing Political Tool Of BN That Not Only Practices Double-Standards But Also Displays Contempt For The Majority The People That Voted 51% For PR.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DAP is shocked and condemns the police for opening an investigation into DAP National Advisor Dr Chen Man Hin for allegedly conspiring to create public disorder when he innocuously used the term \u201cMalaysian Spring\u201d in a private email correspondence more than a year ago. Has the police nothing better to do than to investigate under Section 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code, an 86-year old medical doctor and former MP who had served the nation selflessly, with the ridiculous charge of plotting to overthrow the government through street demonstrations similar to those in the Arab Spring?<\/p>\n

The police investigation is clearly an afterthought to victimise and smear DAP leaders. If the allegation of overthrowing the government is true, why conduct a police investigation now after more than a year, especially when there were no attempts to overthrow the government? By questioning Dr Chen Man Hin over a baseless allegation when pro-BN leaders are permitted to make seditious lies, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar is a willing political tool of BN that not only practices double-standards but also displays contempt for the majority the people that voted 51% for PR.<\/p>\n

This is so ridiculous as to be a joke if not for the fact that this is a waste of police resources, manpower and time which should have been better focused on fighting crime.Why is the IGP behaving in such a trigger happy manner against DAP and PR leaders when no police reports were made a year ago and not apply a similar standard against a former Court of Appeal judge Datuk Mohd Noor Abdullah, who had made racist remarks against Chinese and wanted to seize their rights and properties, when police reports have already been made against Datuk Mohd Noor.<\/p>\n

Whilst Khalid was busy \u201cplaying politics\u201d, he has failed to tackle rising crime, until even the sister of the Deputy Prime Minister in Petaling Jaya and Khalid\u2019s own sister in Mantin, were victims of house break-ins. Despite police claims of a drop in the crime-index, no one in Malaysia believes that they are safer or feel safe.<\/p>\n

Tell that to Chris Tong an actress was injured in Taman Yulek, Cheras another victim of snatch theft. Even a former IGP had questioned the credibility and reliability of the drop in crime statistics, as many victims of crime believe that the drop in crime index is manipulated.<\/p>\n

DAP will demand full answers from the new IGP in Parliament to explain his professional failure to focus of fighting crime but focus instead on fighting PR with baseless allegations.<\/p>\n

Dengan menyoal Dr Chen Man Hin atas tuduhan tidak berasas, ketika pemimpin Pro-BN dibenarkan membuat pembohongan yang menghasur, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar adalah alat politik BN yang bukan sahaja mengamalkan \u2018double standard\u2019 malah memperlihatkan kebenciannya kepada majoriti rakyat yang telah memberi 51% undi kepada Pakatan Rakyat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DAP amat terkejut dan mengutuk tindakan pihak polis membuka kertas siasatan terhadap Penasihat Kebangsaan DAP, Dr Chen Man Hin atas dakwaan bersubahat untuk melakukan gangguan awam apabila beliau menggunakan terma \u2018Malaysian Spring\u2019 tanpa sebarang niat berbahaya dalam email peribadi lebih satu tahan lalu. Adakah pihak polis tidak ada kerja lain selain menyiasat di bawah Seksyen 112 Kanun Acara Jenayah, seorang doktor berusia 86 tahun dan seorang bekas ahli Parlimen yang telah berkhidmat kepada negara; dengan tuduhan merepek kononnya hendak berkomplot untuk menggulingkan kerajaan melalui demonstrasi jalanan seperti yang terjadi dalam \u2018Arab Spring\u2019?<\/p>\n

Siasatan polis tersebut jelas satu tindakan yang bertujuan untuk memangsa dan memburukkan pemimpin DAP. Kalau pun dakwaan menggulingkan kerajaan itu benar, kenapa siasatan dibuat sekarang selepas lebih setahun, terutamanya apabila tidak ada usaha pun untuk menggulingkan kerajaan? Dengan menyoal Dr Chen Man Hin atas tuduhan tidak berasas, ketika pemimpin Pro-BN dibenarkan membuat pembohongan yang menghasur, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar adalah alat politik BN yang bukan sahaja mengamalkan \u2018double standard\u2019 malah memperlihatkan kebenciannya kepada majoriti rakyat yang telah memberi 51% undi kepada Pakatan Rakyat.<\/p>\n

Begitu mengarut sekali tindakan yang amat penuh jenaka ini, kalau bukan kerana ia membazir sumber-sumber polis, tenaga kerja dan masa yang septutnya boleh digunakan untuk menumpukan terhadap memerangi jenayah. Kenapa Ketua Polis Negara bertindak sesuka hati terhadap pemimpin DAP dan Pakatan Rakyat apabila tidak ada pun laporan polis dibuat setahun lalu, dan kenapa tidak memberi layanan serupa seperti yang diberi kepada bekas Hakim Mahkamah Rayuan Datuk Mohd Noor Abdullah, yang telah membuat kenyataan perkauman terhadap masyarakat Cina dan mahu merampas hak dan harta mereka, walaupun laporan polis telah dibuat terhadap Datuk Mohd Noor?<\/p>\n

Sementara Khalid sibuk bermain politik, beliau telah gagal menguruskan kadar jenayah yang semakin meningkat. Sehinggakan saudara perempuan kepada Timbalan Perdana Menteri di Petaling Jaya dan saudara perempuan Khalid sendiri di Mantin menjadi mangsa jenayah pecah rumah. Walaupun pihak polis mendakwa terdapat penurunan dalam indeks jenayah, tidak ada sesiapa pun di dalam negara ini yang percaya bahawa keselamatan mereka terjamin.<\/p>\n

Beritahu itu kepada Chris Tong, seorang pelakon yang cedera di Taman Yulek, Cheras; seorang lagi mangsa ragut. Bahkan bekas ketua polis negara pun mempersoalkan kredibiliti dalam penurunan indeks jenayah memandangkan ramai mangsa jenayah percaya bahawa penurunan tersebut telah dimanipulasi.<\/p>\n

DAP menuntut jawapan penuh daripada Ketua Polis Negara yang baru di Parlimen untuk menerangkan kegagalan profesional beliau untuk memberi tumpuan kepada membasmi jenayah tetapi sibuk melawan Pakatan Rakyat dengan tuduhan-tuduhan tidak berasas.<\/p>\n
