Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail\u2019s Assurances That Action Will Be taken On Any Report Or Resolution By the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah Is Meaningless When He Had Failed To Act Against Perkasa For Calling For Bible Burning And Establish The IPCMC Recommended By RCI On Police.

\nAttorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail\u2019s assurances that action will be taken on any report or resolution by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah is meaningless when he had failed to act against Perkasa for calling for Bible burning and establish the Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission or IPCMC recommended by RCI on Police. Abdul Gani has shown a troubling propensity of cowardly inaction on cases which involved BN leaders, their cronies or closet supporters.<\/p>\n

Nothing exemplifies such prosecutorial cowardice and double-standards as his refusal to act against Perkasa for calling the Bible to be burnt with the ridiculous excuse that the Bible has not been burnt and he will only act when the Bible is actually burnt! However at the same time, he shows extreme prejudice and bravery when taking action against PR leaders such as DAP National Chair and MP for Bukit Glugor Karpal Singh for sedition.<\/p>\n

Abdul Gani\u2019s promises that he will act if there are criminal offences sound even more empty following the denial syndrome of the BN government as shown in the recent horrific death of security guard C Sugumaran last week whilst being handcuffed by the police. Sugumaran\u2019s death followed a string of custodial death victims such as Chang Ching Te in Subang this year and the previous years of K. Kugan as well as 16-year old boy Aminulrasyid Amzah, who was shot dead by police.<\/p>\n

The public has no confidence in Abdul Gani\u2019s pleas to all parties to have confidence in the RCI when the public has no confidence in his professional impartiality. Instead he is politically partisan to the point of blindly parroting the BN\u2019s line that the RCI is transparent and that it is a promise fulfilled.(janji ditepati)<\/p>\n

The time has come for Malaysians to remove political Attorney-General who serve no function except to serve their political masters. Malaysians deserve a legal Attorney-General who is fulfills his or her statutory obligation to uphold the law without fear or favour in a professional and impartial manner. There can be no justice for all when cronies, supporters of BN leaders enjoy legal immunity for breaking the law whilst law-abiding citizens are punished by the Attorney-General merely because they dare to dissent and oppose BN.<\/p>\n

\nJaminan Ketua Peguam Negara Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail bahawa tindakan akan diambil ekoran laporan atau ketetapan yang dikeluarkan Suruhanjaya Siasatan Diraja (RCI) pendatang asing tanpa izin Sabah adalah tidak bermakna apabila beliau gagal untuk mengambil tindakan terhadap Perkasa atas seruan mereka untuk membakar Bible serta untuk menubuhkan Suruhanjaya Aduan dan Salahlaku Polis atau IPCMC yang dicadangkan oleh RCI Polis. Abdul Gani telah pun membuktikan bahawa beliau takut untuk mengambil tindakan dalam kes-kes yang membabitkan pemimpin BN, kroni atau penyokong mereka.<\/p>\n

Contoh yang paling jelas bahawa beliau takut dan mengamalkan dwi-standard adalah keengganan beliau untuk mengambil tindakan terhadap Perkasa atas seruan mereka untuk membakar Bible dengan alasan yang tidak masuk akal bahawa belum ada Bible yang dibakar lagi, dan beliau hanya akan bertindak setelah ada Bible yang dibakar! Pada masa yang sama, beliau tidak teragak-agak untuk mengambil tindakan ke atas pemimpin PR seperti Pengerusi Kebangsaan DAP dan Ahli Parlimen Bukit Gelugor Karpal Singh atas dakwaan hasutan.<\/p>\n

Jaminan Abdul Gani bahawa beliau akan bertindak sekiranya ada kesalahan jenayah merupakan janji kosong berikutan simdrom penafian kerajaan BN dalam kes kematian ngeri pengawal sekuriti C Sugumaran yang telah mati dalam keadaan digari oleh polis. Kematian Sugumaran adalah ekoran kes-kes kematian dalam tahanan seperti Chang Ching Te di Subang pada tahun ini dan A Kugan serta budak 16 tahun Aminulrasyid Amzah yang telah ditembak mati oleh polis.<\/p>\n

Seruan Abdul Gani agar memberi keyakinan kepada RCI tidak berjaya meyakini rakyat kerana rekod prestasi beliau yang berat sebelah. Malah beliau mengamalkan politik partisan dengan meniru kenyataan BN bahawa RCI tersebut adalah telus dan merupakan sebuah janji yang ditepati.<\/p>\n

Masa sudah tiba bagi rakyat Malaysia untuk menggugurkan Ketua Peguam Negara yang bersifat politik dan yang tidak berfungsi melainkan untuk memenuhi keperluan tuannya. Rakyat Malaysia berhak mempunyai Ketua Peguam Negara yang menunaikan tanggungjawabnya secara profesional dan tidak berat sebelah mengikut undang-undang tanpa rasa takut atau memihak. Selagi para kroni dan penyokong pemimpin BN mempunyai imuniti undang-undang sementara rakyat yang tidak bersalah dihukum oleh Ketua Peguam Negara hanya kerana mereka berbeza pendapat atau menentang BN, selagi itulah tidak ada keadilan untuk semua.<\/p>\n
