Rais Yatim Should Stop His Dangerous Games Of Portraying Himself As A Bahasa Malaysia Language Hero By Denying That I Had Also Spoken In Bahasa Malaysia.

The series of malicious lies against me continue with harsh and personal attacks by Information, Communications and Culture Minister Rais Yatim that at an official function that Rais attended in Penang had sidelined the use of Bahasa Malaysia. Rais Yatim Has No Sense Of Right And Wrong When A State Government Is Held Responsible For A Function Organised By A Private Body And Refuses To Admit The Penang Chief Minister Also Spoke In Bahasa Malaysia.

Rais had first lied that only he spoke some Bahasa Malaysia at the Han Chiang College dinner on 29 September 2011, when he represented Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who could not attend as promised.Rais claims that he was the only person speaking Bahasa Malaysia that night is false as I had also spoken in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin. Rais also spoke some Chinese at the event. Why is Rais trying to portray himself as a Malay language champion by denying that I had also spoken in Bahasa Malaysia?

The PR state government will not bow to threats from BN Penang to sue the state government for exposing their scandals (en/cn)

BN Penang & Teng Hock Nan’s 3 Lies That The Penang PR State Government Had Approved Berjaya Development Plans For Penang Hill Will Not Stop The Printing Of Pamphlets To Expose BN’s Refusal To Come Clean On The RM40 Million Tang Hak Ju Land Scam, RM30 Million Pulau Jerejak Scandal And MPSP RM230 Million Loss Scandal.

BN Penang & Teng Hock Nan’s 3 lies that the Penang PR state government had approved Berjaya Development Corp’s plans for Penang Hill will not stop the printing of pamphlets to expose BN’s refusal to come clean on the RM40 million Tang Hak Ju land scams, RM30 million Pulau Jerejak scandal and Majlis Perbandaran Seberang Perai(MPSP) RM 230 million loss scandal. This public campaign will also exert pressure on BN to return as much as possible of the money lost to the people of Penang.

Instead of expressing remorse over such loss of public funds, BN has continued to brazenly lie about the Penang state government secretly approving Berjaya’s development plans for Penang Hill. BN dares to continue lying because no action has been taken by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission(MACC) despite the state government lodging a report on the RM40 million Tang Hak Ju land scam.

Teng Hock Nan, do you have the guts to show your evidence?

Unless Teng Hock Nan Can Show Proof That The Penang PR State Government Has Approved Berjaya Development Plans For Penang Hill, PR Will Continue To Press BN To Come Clean On RM300 Million Scandals On Tang Hak Ju Land Scams, Pulau Jerejak And Mismanagement Of MPSP Funds.

Penang PR state government will not be distracted by baseless accusations and lies but will instead press for BN to come clean on BN’s RM300 million scandals on land scams, Pulau Jerejak and mismanagement of MPSP funds. To-date BN has refused to account and explain for the RM300 million loss in public funds:-
a) RM230 million loss by MPSP in 8 years which made MPSP bankrupt and was only rescued in 2008 when the PR state government took over(See graph);
b) RM30 million loss from sale of developable land in Pulau Jerejak to UDA; and
c) RM40 million loss resulting from the Tang Hak Ju land scam in Bukit Mertajam.

Transforming Penang By Building A Future For Our Youths And Building Our Youths For The Future (en/cn).

Changing Penang in a Changing World: Transforming Penang

Ladies and gentlemen thank you very much for inviting me here to speak. I come here as the Chief Minister of Penang, one of four states led by Pakatan Rakyat or the People’s Pact, the opposition coalition in Malaysia. I am from the Democratic Action Party, one of three coalition partners. I am extremely proud to be given the opportunity to govern the beautiful vibrant state of Penang and delighted to have the opportunity to speak to you. I hope by the end of my remarks you will consider coming to visit and invest in Penang, as it continues to be an attractive location for business and pleasure alike.

It is wonderful to be in Singapore. We have so much in common; shared history and people. Our bonds are deeply intertwined, culturally, politically and economically. I would like to highlight some of our common features. We are both small states that have punched above our weight economically through the hard work and creativity of our people. We have both been successes despite our size and obstacles we share. Today, more than 25%Malaysia’s exports in terms of value and volume come from Penang – more than half of the country’s electronics are produced there – and we are among the top tourist destinations in Malaysia with a record numbers of visitors. Like Singapore, we appreciate the importance of planning, a favorable market environment for investors and fiscal responsibility. We both have worked hard to put ourselves on the map internationally, and done so successfully.
