UMNO’s Senator Ezam Mohamad Nor’s Arrest Proves That Penang UMNO Is A Coward For Denying UMNO’s Involvement In A Violent Illegal Demonstration

UMNO’s Senator Ezam Mohamad Nor’s Arrest Proves That Penang UMNO Is A Coward For Denying UMNO’s Involvement In A Violent Illegal Demonstration On 1.7.2011 In Komtar And The Penang Bridge That Disrupted Traffic For 10 Km And Attacked Two Reporters.

The Penang state government is shocked by Penang UMNO State Liaison Chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman’s blatant and open lie that UMNO is not involved in a violent demonstration on 1.7.2011 in Komtar and the Penang Bridge that severely disrupted traffic for 10 Km and attacked two reporters from Chinese newspapers.

Instead of trying to deny and cover-up UMNO’s involvement, Datuk Zainal should have sought public forgiveness and apologised for UMNO’s involvement. Video footage of the illegal assembly and the arrest of UMNO Senator Ezam Mohd Nor by the police for illegal assembly proves that UMNO is a coward for trying to deny its involvement and is a classic reminder of the Malay proverb, “baling batu sembunyi tangan”.

Full Support For Hannah And Ramachandran’s Quest For Their Child To Be Simply Known As Malaysians(en/bm/cn).

1Malaysia Another Empty Slogan When Being A Malay First, Chinese First Or Indian First Is More Important Than Malaysian First.

The sorry spectacle of the National Registration Department (NRD) refusing to allow DAP State Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya Hannah Yeoh and her husband Ramachandran Muniandy to register her new born child as ‘Anak Malaysia’ as an official ethnicity, shows that 1Malaysia. Clearly BN is so racist that being a Malay First, Chinese, First or Indian First is more important than being a Malaysian First.

DAP is proud of both Hannah and Ramachandran for living and practicing DAP’s Malaysian Malaysia and Malaysian First spirit that we are all inextricably bound together by our common destiny as one nation. By deliberately forcing us into ethnic boxes BN is not celebrating diversity nor creating a common Malaysian identity, but opportunistically playing divide and rule politics.

Chua Soi Lek Has Failed His Own Test On Whether MCA Should Be In Or Out Of Cabinet and Government (en/bm/cn)

MCA’s Failure To Ensure Overseas Scholarships Are Given To The 86 Top SPM Students Proves That Chua Soi Lek Has Failed His Own Test On Whether MCA Should Be In Or Out Of Cabinet and Government – There Is No Difference!

DAP will not bow to threats from MCA, which is adopting Perkasa’s methods of using race, to cover up their failure to fulfil their promises to obtain overseas scholarships for the 86 top SPM students. Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong had described this year’s awards as “the most nonsensical ever” where top SPM students were given scholarships for diploma courses whilst those with lower grades got overseas scholarships.

DAP Not Interested In The Tiff Between UMNO And MCA Or Internal MCA Rivalries(en/bm/cn)

DAP Not Interested In The Tiff Between UMNO And MCA Or Internal MCA Rivalries But Whether The BN Government Can Fully Disclose The Details Of All PSD Scholarship Holders And Ensure That All Top Students Get Overseas Scholarships?

DAP is not interested in the tiff between UMNO and MCA or internal MCA rivalries but whether the BN government can fully disclose the details of all Public Service Department (PSD) scholarship holders given on merit and ensure that all top students can get overseas scholarship. PSD had reserved 300 overseas scholarships for top students based purely on merit and not on race. Wee had claimed that not all these 300 overseas scholarships given were to top students based on merit.

MCA Youth chief and Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz had a public dispute over who was lying on whether there were abuses in the award of PSD scholarship. Wee had earlier exposed cases of top 8A+ students denied overseas scholarships granted to those with poorer results. Nazri had vehemently denied Wee’s claims of abuses of power as baseless.

Utusan Malaysia’s Dangerous Lies Of Conspiracy Is A Desperate Attempt By UMNO To Distract Attention From Economic Mismanagement And Policy Failures That Has Caused The Prices Of Petrol And Sugar To Rise.(en/bm/cn)

Utusan Malaysia’s Dangerous Lies Of A Conspiracy By DAP And Christian Pastors To Set Up A Christian State And Christian Prime Minister Is A Desperate Attempt By UMNO To Distract Attention From Economic Mismanagement And Policy Failures That Has Caused The Prices Of Petrol And Sugar To Rise.

The BN government’s announcement today that the price of sugar will be increased by 20 sen to RM2.30 a kg has exposed the real malicious motive for UMNO-owned Utusan Malaysia’s dangerous lies of a so-called conspiracy by DAP and Christian pastors to set up a Christian state and a Christian Malaysian Prime Minister. Such lies could be printed on the front-page of Utusan Malaysia even though no Malaysian Christian had ever sought to be Malaysian Prime Minister.

Utusan’s lies were designed as a desperate attempt by UMNO to distract attention from economic mismanagement and policy failures that has caused the prices of petrol and sugar to rise. Ordinary Malaysians are heavily burdened by the rise in cost of living which has made the poor’s livelihood more difficult. Oddly the price rises would invariably come after a big victory by BN whether in by-elections or state elections.

UMNO Inspired Demonstration In Butterworth Shows The Dangerous Political Games Of UMNO (be/bm/cn)

UMNO Inspired Demonstration In Butterworth Shows The Dangerous Political Games Of UMNO Not Just Opposing A Toll-Free Alternative Road But Playing With Fire Through Blatant Lies That DAP Wants To Create A Christian State And A Christian Prime Minister To Win Malay Support At Any Cost.

The UMNO inspired demonstration in my constituency of Bagan(Butterworth) yesterday shows that dangerous political games of UMNO in not just opposing a toll-free alternative road that cost less than RM 2.5 million. What is more risky to the country’s racial and religious harmony is that these UMNO-inspired demonstrators used the blatant lies that DAP wants to create a Christian state and Prime Minister to condemn me.

It is utterly irresponsible of UMNO to play with fire by spreading such lies through their newspaper Utusan Malaysia just to win Malay support at any cost. Many Christian leaders have expressed utter dismay at these provocative lies and denied vehemently that there are groups of Christian pastors working with DAP to create a Christian state and Prime Minister.

DAP Would Not Allow MCA to Cloud MCA’s Failure Of Performance With Racial Sentiments And Fear But Focus On Change To Deliver A People-Centric Government That Addresses Rising Costs And Improve The Rakyat’s Economic Livelihood.(En/CN)

The next general elections will be won on the performance, integrity of leadership and the ability of BN and PR to deliver on its promises. DAP would not allow MCA to cloud MCA’s failure of performance with racial sentiments and fear but focus on change to deliver a people-centric government that addresses rising costs and improve the rakyat’s economic livelihood.

DAP regrets that MCA has continued to make personal attacks against the DAP to hide its flaws, cover-up its defects and pretend that MCA is multi-racial when it is not. Even though MCA is a chauvinistic Chinese party, MCA does not even defend the rights and interests of the Chinese. History has proven that MCA is only interested in personal enrichment, pursuing positions and posts at the expense of principles and people’s rights.

Look at the numerous financial scandals involving MCA and topMCA leaders from the RM1.4 billion Deposit Taking Co-operatives scandal in 1986 to the RM12.85 billion Port Klang Free Trade Zone scandal recently. MCA allows DAP leaders to be branded as disloyal when DAP fights for freedom, truth justice and democracy and yet are not ashamed when MCA leaders are exposed for being permanent residents in foreign countries.

MCA Trying To Hide Its Ineffectiveness In Improving The Livelihood Of The People(en/cn)

MCA Trying To Hide Its Ineffectiveness In Improving The Livelihood Of The People And Complete Failure To Prevent Rising Costs As Shown By The 20 Cents Increase In RON 97 Petrol To RM2.90 Per Liter

Former Wanita chief Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz’s rejection of Utusan Malaysia and Perkasa’s 1 Melayu, 1 Bumi movement because it will threaten Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s 1 Malaysia is not echoed by other top UMNO leaders. In fact, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin has refused to disagree with the 1Melayu,1 bumi movement or even repeat Najib’s evasive answer of it being a only personal opinion of Utusan Malaysia’s editors.

DAP regrets that instead of mounting a campaign against Utusan Malaysia provocative, extremist and dangerous ideology, MCA Deputy President Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai has chosen instead to label DAP as real racists. What happened to MCA’s previous loud calls to boycott Utusan?

MCA’s “Empty Fortress” An Empty Threat As MCA Has Never Resisted The Temptations Of Privilege And Perks Associated With Posts And Positions To Fight For Principles Of Right And Wrong.(en/cn)

The swearing-in of Datuk Lee Kim Shin as Sarawak assistant infrastructure development and communications minister yesterday has exposed the BN’s “empty fortress” strategy to frighten the Chinese voters to vote for BN or else there will be no Chinese representation in government as an empty threat. This empty nest strategy is hoped to force the Chinese community to turn and run away from DAP.

Clearly such threats are made before elections but when posts and positons are offered after elections, as happened to SUPP Datuk Wong Soon Koh and Datuk Lee Kim Shin, BN leaders will never be able to resist the temptation of the perks and privileges available to fight for principles of right and wrong. What is sad is that MCA President Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek had allowed both Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin to racialise the Sarawak elections results instead of a democratic call for change..

DAP National Congress, State Ordinary Conventions, postponed for 12 months.

The DAP CEC is compelled to consider the decisions by both UMNO dan MCA to postpone party elections next year as a clear signal that snap elections will likely be called by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak next year. To put the party into genenal election mode, all resources and efforts should be directed towards prepare for the most critical 13th General Elections.

The DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) at its meeting last night decided to invoke Clause VIII of the Party Constitution to postpone Party Congress and State Ordinary Conventions for 12 month.

Clause VIII of the DAP Party Constitution stipulates:“…Notwithstanding all other provisions contained in this Constitution, the Central Executive Committee Shall have the powers to postpone the Party Congress and Party Conference, State Ordinary Convention and State Annual Convention for a period not exceeding 12 months should their convening fall on a date within two years of the date Parliament shall, in accordance with Article 55(3) of the Federal Constitution, stand dissolved.”

This means that the next Party Congress where party elections will be held and due by August 2011 is postponed till August 2012. This decision also affect the holding of state party elections for Negeri Sembilan and Sarawak which are scheduled to be held by end of 2011.

The DAP CEC, taking into consideration of the likelihood of general election being called in the very near future, unanimously agreed that resources and effort should be focused in preparing the Party to face one of the most important general elections in the history of Malaysia.
