P.Ramasamy: Tan Tee Beng A Foe Of CAT Governance

Statement by the Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Prof P.Ramasamy, on 3 February 2010 in Georgetown:

The Penang State EXCO had on its own initiative discussed over the previous 18 months,discussed the issue of the state government giving allocations to Penang Pakatan Rakyat MPs for small development projects. However this proposal was opposed by the previous State Financial Officer and State Secretary. The State Legal Advisor had also expressed similar sentiments. There were also concerns expressed that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission would use this issue to harrass the PR state government and its representatives.

Press Statement By Penang Chief Minister’s Office In Komtar, George Town On 2.2.2010

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng in his capacity as Penang Development Corporation(PDC) Board Chairman has directed PDC to reveal the chronology of events relating to the proposed privatization of operations in the Bukit Jambul Country Club(BJCC). BJCC is run by Island Golf Properties Bhd(IGP), a PDC owned subsidiary company. Bayan Baru MP Dato Seri Zahrain has been the Chairman and Director of Island Golf Properties Bhd since 9th July 2008. CM Visiting South Korea and HK

Penang Chief Minister YAB Lim Guan Eng will be visiting South Korea and Hong Kong from 1st – 3rd February 2010.

While in South Korea, the Chief Minister will meet South Korean leading LED (LightEmitting Diode) companies who are keen to invest in Penang . South Korea is being earmarked as one of the key potential major investors in Penang in the areas of business, tourism, ICT and manufacturing.
