However as a Penangite I am aghast and totally upset that they have resorted to even think of asking Unesco to reconsider the listing she has bestowed on Georgetown. It's a case of cutting the nose to spite the face of Penang. Should we lose a coveted listing because of 1 village? Is it fair to the rest of other Penangites? If they resort to this lowdown (futile) action, I feel that most Penangites would rather that the village make way for development.
